Healthy Housing Portfolio — formerly ARCHIVE Global
In 2023, ARCHIVE Global — an internationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to improving health outcomes through targeted built-environment interventions — integrated its programs into ISUH as the Healthy Housing Portfolio. ARCHIVE brought a proven methodology, a track record of completed projects across four continents, and a sustained commitment to the principle that housing design is a primary preventive health strategy.
The Healthy Housing Portfolio operates on a consistent model: identify a specific housing condition with a documented link to disease burden; design a low-cost, community-integrated physical intervention; pair it with health education; and evaluate outcomes rigorously. The results have repeatedly demonstrated that affordable, targeted improvements to the home environment produce measurable reductions in disease and improvements in daily life.
The health of a household begins with the conditions of the home itself. Improving those conditions is among the highest-return investments available in public health.
