Dr. Azodo Clement Chinedu
I hold a Bachelor degree in Dental Surgery, Master in Physiology (M.SC) and currently a Master in Public Health student. I am presently a Senior Registrar in the department of Periodontics in the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin-City, Nigeria and also the Editor- in-Chief of Benin Journal of Postgraduate Medicine.
My area of interest is infectious disease prevention and control and oral health and I have carried out many studies while many are still on-going. The following are some of publications: Prevention of HIV transmission in Nigeria: Role of a dentist, A survey of HIV-related knowledge and attitude among dental nursing students in South Western Nigeria. My on-going research include HIV testing: are healthcare workers good enough model and Role of pharmacist in oral healthcare delivery
I have also attended a number of conferences, both locally and internationally like the International AIDS Society conference Sydney, Australia, the Annual Conference of Forum on Oral Aspect of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases Ibadan, Nigeria, the 87th International Association for Dental Research conference in Miami, Florida and the 2nd African and Middle East Regional Conference of IADR, Mombasa, Kenya.
I became a member of ISUH in 2006.
